There is NO Shoulder

Not Seen Him Yet

This Will Make You Slow Down

I do not know why it is hiding.

What Do You Call This?

This Road Has no Shoulder

On the road to Ruedi there is a lot of bicycles. In this part of CO there is a lot of bicycles & (dogs) everywhere you drive there is a paths for them (bicycle), but to ride up to the Ruedi they must ride on the road. So far I have not hit one.

I hope I am not going his way.

How to Hook The Big One

Do you see the diver in the picture he is going to try & hook a Dodge truck. A man came to the marina Sunday to change his jeep for his truck & while he was moving them, his truck rolled into the lake. It took about four hours to get it out (from the time it rolled in till it was out).

Biggest Catch of the Day

And you thank you had a bad day.

What a Catch

Look at the size of his line

Everybody Watching

When you go after the big ones everyone wants to see.

What it Took to Bring It In

When you go after the big ones you have to have the right equipment.

The Frying Pan

The river is very full.

A Church inAspen

We went past this church in Aspen & Wilma wanted a picture.

Here We Are

Here is proof we made it. We also hiked up above the falls around three miles.

Look Forward

Our leader is looking for the right trail, as always he is looking forward, never back. We all need to do that.

Hagerman Pass

We will do this later.

Dam

This dam is at one of the campgrounds.

Yacht Club

This sign tells it all. They come to our Marina to put their boats in. I like to watch them.

Boats with no moter

These boats are on Ruedi not far from our camp.

Bear Locker

When you see this do not pitch your tent. Click on it to get a larger picture then just use your back button.

Our Truck

Not having a Jeep or our 4-wheeler we took our truck. It did fine. I will try to take it easy.

NFR 505

We took NFR 505 it is to the right of the road to Hagerman Pass. I think the pass will have to much running water & may have snow, will do it later.

Around The Bend

Would like to know what is around the bend? More Road. Wish I had time to see it all.

Our Leader

This area of CO has a lot of dogs of course our is the best.

Our Picnic Area

As you can see Wilma is picking up litter, one of our jobs. So watch your trash some one has to pick it up.

Our Campground

Not many trees, not a one. There are some more campgrounds with trees. Our main duty is the Marina.

Ramp & Dock

The Dock must be pulled up each day as the water will come up one to two feet a day, yes I said feet. Three to four boats can use it at a time, but most of the time it is only two.

Boats in Dry Storage

For $200.00 you can leave your boat here at the Marina, there are 47 spaces.

My Work Station

Some one has to do it.

Wilma's Work Station

Ever one going to the Marina must pass by here & Stop then see Wilma (when she is here).

Ruedi Reservoir

200 feet deep, 5 miles long 3 miles wide, a lot of water.

Stop by Vail

This is a road stop by Vail on I-70. Remember you can get a larger picture by just clicking on it, use your back button. I will try to post every week.

Eisenhower Tunnel

I had hard about it now I have been through it along with a few more. We went through four tunnels this was the longest.

Truck Ramp

This is one runaway truck ramp that should stop anyone & quick. We saw more than one like this.

Homes overlooking our Home

Do you see the homes that overlook our small summer home. This parking lot will fill up & this is not all of the lot.

Ruedi Reservoir

As you can see the Reservoir is down. They drain it in the winter so it can hold the summer run off. It will fill up. It is three miles wide & five miles long and two hundred feet deep. We have seen them put some large boats on it. One day two men came by & gave Wilma & I four trout & were they good. They say they taste better out of the Ruedi because it is so cold (50 degrees F), and yes there have been people water skiing (they use dry suits). NOT FOR ME.

Our Summer Home

As you can there is a little bit of Texas in CO. We are doing well with our Solar Panels, and have cooked twice in our Solar Oven. We have got some more food ready to put in the oven in the next few days. It was nice to get off work & have Dinner ready. It was not as good as what Lynda (our daughter) makes, but we all three could eat it & no one got sick (yet).

Cleaning up is The Last Step

The inside painting of the house we started a few weeks ago was done today. Now there is still some work to be done (a lot), but it was good to see this part done.

Taking Care of Details

She gets it done.

Who is Going to Paint Who

I will give you a clue he has the paint brush.

Rolling on Paint

We were able to paint the inside of the house today. Many thanks to all the worker who came out, a lot of hands make for lite work.

Hope There is Some on The Wall

Do any of you see his paint brush?

Good Looking Wall (Top Half)

The sink and cabinets will go on the lower part of this wall.

Guess Who

This is the headless painter, he is taking care of details.

Getting The High Spots

We had to get the high as well as the low spots

Guess What She Has Been Doing

She has already cleaned up. This is one of our best workers.

Where We Were Parked

Wilma, Tank, & I parked here at the side of the church. We were able to just walk a few steps to work each day. Joe Castro and his wife Rosa are doing the tile work. David Camarillo will be doing the mud work. There is still work to be done and workers needed. If you have any extra time call Pastor Henry at First Assembly of God Church, (he will put you to work).

Hole in Floor

This is one of the holes in the floor Wilma & I patched.

The New Shower

Joe Castro and his wife Rosa are doing the shower and floor in the baths. This is the front bath. Wilma & I did the wall & some work on the celling.

Front Door

Here we have a picture of the new Front Door from the inside. The people from MAPS did the door Wilma & I did the wall to the left.
